Charles Lomax McLean, of Dothan, passed away, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his residence. He was 72.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Westgate Church of Christ with Mike Murphree and Wayne Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Home Church of Christ Cemetery (Wicksburg) with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 – 9:00 on Friday. Mr. McLean will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Home Church of Christ, cemetery fund, c/o J.B. Riley, 1063 S. State Hwy. 123, Newton, AL, 36352.

Mr. McLean was born December 31, 1942 in Houston County, Alabama and was a 1961 graduate of Wicksburg High School. He served for six years in the Alabama National Guard. He began his banking career in Dothan and retired in Troy on December 31, 1995 after 40 years of service. Mr. McLean was a longtime member of Christian Home Church of Christ (Wicksburg), Collegedale Church of Christ (Troy) and Westgate Church of Christ (Dothan).

Mr. McLean is predeceased by his father, Howard McLean, a brother, Jerry McLean and a sister, Judy Kirkland.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Barley McLean of Dothan; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Tiffany McLean of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Anna McLean and Kathryn McLean; his mother, Geraldine McLean of Wicksburg; a sister and brother-in-law, Janis and Morris Watson of Wicksburg; a sister-in-law, Alice McLean and a brother-in-law, Charles Kirkland.
