Jaiden Davis’ love for clothes, shoes and jewelry inspired her family to open a clothing store for kids in Troy.

Davis, 10, enjoys wearing boutique style clothes and playing dress up, and now she gets to do that as a merchandise model for Blush Kids Boutique Facebook page.

Blush Kids Clothing boutique opened its doors for business on June 6, 2015 to people looking to purchase the latest kids trends at an affordable price.

Jaiden’s mother, Leann Tomberlin; her grandmother, Kathy Davis, and her aunt Heather Fox are the owners of Blush.

The store’s opening has been a family effort through Jaiden being the inspiration behind the store down to other relatives coming up with the name Blush.

Angie Yarbrough, a store employee said the main goal of the store is to be a convenience for parents when shopping for kids and to provide clothes that children actually like to wear.

“By having Blush here in Troy, people won’t have to travel to Montgomery or Dothan and that will save time and money,” Yarbrough said.

Blush Kids Boutique is located in Southland Village shopping center. Yarbrough and the owners are hoping that the location will attract customers as they are traveling through.

“I hope you all do good here,” Pam Little said. “It’s in a good location.”

Little and her granddaughter, Anna Cate Gunter shopped at Blush on June 25.

One thing that Blush management hopes to set the store apart is the pricing of the clothes.

“We are trying really hard to keep the prices reasonable especially since children are constantly growing,” Yarbrough said.

Right now Blush has girls clothing size 7-14, but they are expanding their inventory on a weekly basis.

Yarbrough encourages shoppers to stop by to see what the store has to offer and to let the store management know some things they would like the store to offer.

Blush Kids Clothing is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
