“They played hard until the last inning,” head coach Al Renfroe said. “They kept their heads up and played hard. They just came up a little short.”

After the first inning Troy battled back and played well the rest of the game.

“We came out really slow in the game and made the three errors,” Renfroe said. “We probably should have gotten out of the inning with allowing maybe one run, instead we gave up five. From that first inning on they played really well.”

After the rainout on Tuesday, Troy came back and picked up the easy win over Hartford.

Troy hit the ball well throughout the game leading to the easy win for Troy.

“One through 12 my players have hit the ball really well,” Renfroe said. “I can’t think of one person who has jumped off the page for being that much better than anyone else. They have been really committed to what we have asked them to do.”

The pitching staff also pitched really well for Troy Wednesday night.

Jackson Cleveland pitched three innings not allowing a Hartford run, and only surrendering one hit. Logan Booth came in and closed the door for Troy in the fourth inning.

At press time Thursday night, Troy defeated Luverne 25-2. They will be in action tonight against Enterprise National at 6:00 p.m.
