Submitted photo Over 400 second and third graders at Troy Elementary School celebrated as they honored 16 Helping Hand and Torch Team Heroes. Over the past few weeks, the Super Citizen Program has taught these students what it takes to become a Super Citizen. The students quickly realized the best way to embrace these lessons was to honor real American heroes and they did just that. Today the students took the stage to honor “their” hero. Another lesson the students learned is by taking the time to honor a real American hero, they themselves were heroic.
