“Jazz Under the Stars” featuring the Troy University Jazz Ensembles at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in downtown Troy will be the kickoff event for TroyFest.

Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy a night of music, dancing, fellowship and fun.

Shelia Jackson, Troy public relations director, said “Jazz Under the Stars” is a great way to get in the mood for one of the biggest and best arts and crafts festivals in the area.

“Jazz Under the Stars” is a community event and a fun night has been planned,” Jackson said. “The music will get started at 6:30. Everyone will be encouraged to bring a picnic from home or garb a take-out at their favorite restaurant and enjoy supper under the stars. Troy features several restauant around the square so that’s also an option for dining downtown.”

Desserts will be severed free of charge to all who attend the concert. TroyFest T-shirts will be available.
