Jackie Spurlock

God enfolded Jackie Spurlock in His arms and took her soul to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.  Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ollie Bell Spurlock of Troy, Alabama.  Jackie was a member of a large family consisting of thirteen children, Jackie being the twelfth child.  She is survived by six sisters.

Jackie, a native of Troy, Alabama, was born on March 1, 1939 and graduated from Charles Henderson High School and attended Troy University.  She loved music and enjoyed the piano.  Unfortunately, Jackie developed crippling arthritis at a very young age and was its victim from childhood to death.  She was very familiar with pain and suffering.

Jackie grew close to her Lord, being a firm believer in salvation.  Standing on the promises of God and accepting Jesus’ statement, “I am the way, the truth and the light”, were assurances of solace to her, and are comforting to her surviving sisters.
