The Trojans never lead by more than five points  before the final buzzer that saw the Trojans win by seven points.

Charles Henderson center Maori Davenport began her season on a high note with her first double-double of the season. Davenport lead the team with 17 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Trojan head coach Dyneisha Jones said she was pleased with her team’s effort in their first regular season outing but saw some sloppy areas that the team will need to improve on.

“We still need some work,” Jones said. “We got our first game jitters out, but we still need some work. We made some mistakes and we couldn’t capitalize on their (Geneva County’s) turnovers.”

CHHS will play Enterprise Saturday in the tournament championship game at 2:30 p.m.
