The Troy University basketball program will host the Chic-Fil-A Trojan Madness event Thursday in Trojan Arena, the University announced.

The event, which is sponsored and catered by Chi-Fil-A, will serve as a proper kickoff to the 2014-15 basketball season before each team’s exhibition game on Nov. 17.

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be in attendance Thursday as players will participate in a dunk contest, 3-point shootout and an intrasquad scrimmage.

Chic-Fil-A will give away free food for the first 500 students in attendance and three grand prizes will be given away at the end of the event.

Start time is set for 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and is open only to students of Troy University.
