The Troy City Planning Commission extended an approval to continue construction at Deerstand Hill subdivision and approved a combination of lots on the Hillcrest subdivision at their Thursday meeting.

It has been over a year since the work being done at the subdivision was approved, which warranted an extension on the approval. Phases four and five of the project were approved.

Phases four and five will add 42 new lots to the subdivision and two new streets: Emory Way and Abby Lane.

The Hillcrest subdivision lot combination included a lot owned by Michael and Michelle Copeland and an adjacent parcel of land. The Copelands had a sales contract for the parcel contingent on the approval of the Planning Commission.

Last week the Troy City Board of Adjustment approved a setback variance for the location, which makes the property larger. The parcel will be used to add an addition to the Copeland’s house.
