Funeral services for Shirley S. Wallace, 89, who died Thursday, August 21, 2014, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Brundidge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Shirley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Chip and Helen Wallace of Troy, Cot and Jean Wallace of Troy, Chuck Wallace and Bill Chamberlain of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Clint and Elizabeth Wallace and their sons Reynolds and Cade of Tallahassee, Katie Wallace of Homewood, Ben and Kristen Wallace and their son Hudson of Dothan, Bart and Stephanie Wallace of Troy and Jim and Caroline Wallace of Hoover; niece Judy R. Brown of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; nephew Dr. John W. Gamel of Louisville, Ky; family friend Bobby Nobles of Mexico Beach, Fla.; sister Evelyn S. Ash of Hayward, Calif. and special caregivers and friends; Sonia Carter, Dot Green and Betty Baxter. She is preceded in death by her husband Reynolds E. Wallace, Jr., an infant son Craig Reynolds Wallace and her parents, one sister and one brother.

Mrs. Wallace was co-founder of Wallace Pump and Supply in Brundidge and Mexico Beach. She worked diligently with the BSA and The Order of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of the Brundidge United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to the Brundidge United Methodist Church.

Services are under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge.
