Mr. Larry Stephen Long of Banks died Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 12:30 pm at the Ramah Cemetery with Reverends John Harden and J.C. Turner officiating, Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held at his home on Highway 130 near Banks from 10:00 am until 12:00 on Wednesday. A native of South Florida Mr. Long worked for the Miami Dade County School Board for 23 years, after retirement in 2001 he moved to banks where his family was originally from and opened a Hardware Store and Plumbing Service. He was preceded in death by his mother Coela “Pinky” Long, his father Emory Long and his step mother Frances Long. He is survived by his wife Victoria Marczyk Long, his daughter Denise Long and her children Savannah, Tristan and Caden Perez a Stepson Michael Chobin Jr. and his son Michael III, a step sister Susan Weed, two step brothers Herb and Wicker Pyer. Active pallbeares will be Bruce, Terry, Landon, Randy and David Long and Bill Rhodes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Loyd, Ellis and Oris Long.
