Richard Bennett Helms passed away at 1:30 AM at his home Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Funerals services will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend J.C. Turner and Reverend Averyt Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors include; Wife, Lillian Helms, Banks, Daughter, Carlene Greene, Banks, Grandson, Patrick Greene, Charleston, SC. Step Grandson, Tony (Becky) Greene, Granddaughter, Avery Claire Greene, Son and Daughter in law, Ricky and Debra Helms, Granddaughter, Jessica Helms, Grandson, Ricky Lee Helms, Sister, Florence Hoggan of Colorodo Springs, CO. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Shiloh Baptist Church.
