William Durwood Brooks, age 60, a resident of Jeffersonville, GA died Monday, July 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Dwayne Norman and Reverend Alvie Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at Dillard Funeral Home.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his mother, Rita Jane Brooks; sisters, Lanette Singleton, Priscella Walker (Alvie), Dana Talbott (Reggie Bowen); brother, Luthor Marion Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Herman Edward Brooks and a brother, Herman Edward Brooks, Jr. “Bubba”).

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bush Memorial Baptist Church.
