Police are asking the public’s help in locating Rashaun D. Thomas, who is wanted for robbery in connection with the theft of a vehicle and a high-speed chase.

The Troy Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in Tuesday’s high-speed car chase.

Rashaun Devante Thomas, 20, of Troy is wanted for first-degree robbery in connection the theft of a 2002 Honda CRV stolen at gunpoint in the 600 block of Henderson Drive around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say Thomas led officers on a high-speed chase through the city before crashing the vehicle into a utility pole at Elm and Griffin streets and fleeing on foot.

Thomas is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.

Thomas may also face several additional misdemeanor charges stemming from the vehicle pursuit.
