The Troy Dixie Minor Rookies came from from behind for the second time in as many nights to beat Fairhope American 18 -14 Monday night in Muscle Shoals. With the win Troy advances to the finals of the winners bracket and will face the host team, Muscle Shoals on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.. After trailing 10-3 after two innings, Troy was able to plate 3 runs in the third and 7 in the top of fourth to take a 13 to 10 lead. Fairhope was able to score 2 in the bottom of the inning to pull within one. In the fifth, Troy scored 3 more and Fairhope did not score bringing the score 16-12. Troy added some insurance runs in the top of the sixth behind a mammoth 2- run blast from Kase Chirico. Troy was able to hold Fairhope to 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth to round out the scoring giving Troy the 18 -14 win.

The hit barrage continued as Troy pounded out 18 base hits. Brady Huner, and Austin Spivey each had 3 hits. Mario Davenport, Jacob Spivey, and Chirico each had 2 hits. Bryce Betts, Connor Thrash, JD Wilson, Cobie Cantlow, Cade Renfroe, and Colton Taylor all had one hit. Connor Thrash came in relief of Austin Spivey in the second and scatted 8 runs over the last five innings.
