Entertainment by the Colley Senior Complex Line Dancers was just part of the fun of the Brown Bag on the Square event at noon Friday at The Studio in downtown Troy. The Brown Bag crowd, which numbered about 150, celebrated Community Awareness Week and acknowledged the important role the Pike-Regional Child Advocacy Center plays in Pike County. CAC Director Camille Downing, expressed appreciation for the community’s support and reminded everyone that Pike Regional Proclamation Day Services will be at noon on Tuesday at 118 West Orange Street in Troy. The next Brown Bag will be Jazz Under the Stars at 6:30 p.m. on April 15 on the downtown square and will feature the Troy University Jazz Ensemble, directed by Eric Ward. The jazz concert will be the kickoff event for TroyFest. At top, a group from the Colley Senior Complex leads a line dance. At left, councilwoman D.J. Henderson joins in the fun.
