Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center has set the dates for two of its most popular springtime events, Ms. Troy Health and Rehab and the Easter Social.
Jeanette Dawkins, TH&R activities director, said eight residents have indicated they are planning to compete in the 2014 Ms. Troy Health and Rehab Pageant on April 8.
“The pageant is always a lot of fun for our contestants and their families, as well as for our other residents,” Dawkins said. “The public is invited to come out and support the contestants and enjoy all of the fun of the Ms. Troy Health and Rehab pageant.”
The entertainment for the evening will include the line dancers from the Colley Senior Complex and also a group of senior singers from the Complex.
“We’ll also have a guitarist come play and maybe even some other entertainment,” Dawkins said.  “The pageant is a big event and we would like to have the community join us.”
Dawkins said the Easter Social will be at 2 p.m. April 18 and relatives and friends of the residents are welcome to enjoy this annual event.
“The Easter Bunny will be here and he is a favorite visitor to Troy Health and Rehab,” Dawkins said. “The Easter Bunny will also visit daycare centers around town. Our residents enjoy both of these events.”
