Funeral services for Kelvin Dale Tucker, 53, of Goshen, who died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at Rock West Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charlie L. Sankey Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Rock West Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28.

He was born Feb. 4, 1961, in Crenshaw County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland and Mildred Tucker. He was a graduate of Goshen High School and McArthur Tech. He worked for Petry Wholesale and Smart Plant in Luverne. He was a deacon at Rock West Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Mason Lodge No. 429 Curtis Lodge. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, being outside and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by a sibling, Cleveland and Queen Tucker.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Lessia Tucker; his son, Jamar Tucker; his daughter, Lenell Sanford; his three proud children, Jamykel, Jamarcus and Hallee; siblings, Dorothy McCleod, Marguerite and William Pearson, Nellie and Thomas McCleod, James Robert and Jo Ann Tucker, Sybil Tucker Nelson, Melvin and Velma Tucker, Lamon Charles and Shondra Tucker, Larry and Rose Tucker, Timothy and Florence Tucker, Eursie Johnson; and his mother-in-law Dazzarin Lacey.

Pallbearers will be his nephews and friends; honorary pallbearers will be the Masonic Lodge Curtis Lodge No. 429; Foralbearers will be family and friends.
