The Charles Henderson Trojans are looking to bounce back after a tough loss to 6A Jeff Davis over the weekend. The Trojans round out the first half of their area schedule against the Rams. The Trojans picked up a win against region rival Bullock County in their most recent area contest and hope to pick up another when they host Headland.

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans have lost two games all year. The first was to 6a Enterprise. Unfortunately for the Lady Trojans, the second was to region rival Bullock County. Charles Henderson will look to right the ship against the Headland Rams and get back to their winning ways.

Pike County at Abbeville

The Pike County Bulldogs are riding high after knocking off their rival Goshen Eagles 56-53 over the weekend.

The game against Abbeville represents the third straight road area game for the Bulldogs.

Pike County split its first two area games, knocking off Montgomery Catholic 36-35 and falling to Barbour County 42-44.

The Pike County Lady Bulldogs need a win to get back on track with their season.

Pike County fell 24-30 to rival Goshen over the weekend. The Lady Bulldogs have failed to pick up an area win in two tries, falling to Montgomery Catholic and Barbour County.

Goshen at Elba

The Goshen Eagles will face one of their stiffest tests of the season when they travel to take on the ninth-ranked Elba Tigers. The Eagles are coming off two straight losses to rivals Highland Home and Pike County.

This will be the first area game of the year for the Eagles who will also take on New Brockton and Zion Chapel later in the week to round out the first half of their area slate.

The Goshen Lady Eagles picked up their second win of the year when they downed the Pike County Lady Bulldogs 30-24 at home on Saturday.

Since the beginning of the year, the Lady Eagles have shown remarkable improvement and will look to carry that improvement in to their area games against Elba, New Brockton and Zion Chapel

Pike Liberal v. Macon-East

The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots have already picked up one area win for the season, and they will look to add a second when they host the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights today.

The Patriots have already defeated the Knights once this season on the road, and they hope to have the same success when the Knights visit Troy.

In the Patriots’ only other area game this year, Pike fell to Evangel Christian despite a strong performance from senior Chandler Avant.

It took two days, but the Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots have already lost once to Macon-East. When the Lady Patriots traveled to Cecil, the game was played over two days because of a power outage.

While the Lady Pats won the first day 15-6, they fell on the second day for a final of 47-55. Pike also lost to region foe Evangel Christian last week to put them at 0-2 in the area and in need of a big win.
