Troy man charged in weekend shooting

A Troy man has been arrested for attempted murder after a weekend shooting, according to police.

Maurice Keon Crenshaw, 24, has been charged with attempted murder and he is being held at the Pike County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Troy Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 200 block of Love Street about 2 a.m. Sunday. One victim had suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to the Troy Regional Medical Center.

Police report another victim came forward Monday, alleging Crenshaw had shot at him several times while in the 200 block of Love Street Sunday morning. That victim, police said, had been grazed by gunfire on the hand and leg while trying to flee the scene.

After an investigation, police were able to gain a warrant for Crenshaw’s arrest. The case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
