TH&R hosts Fall Festival

Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center will host its Fall Festival at 2 p.m. Oct. 27 and all family and friends of the TH&R residents are invited and encouraged to come.

“Our residents look forward to the Fall Festival each year because it reminds them of when when they were in school or had children in school and participated in carnival games,” said Jeanette Dawkins, TH&R activities director. “Family members and friends enjoy participating in the games with the resident. It’s a fun way to spend time together.”

Dawkins said the games planned include go fishing, bean bag toss, pick up ducks, ring toss and pin the nose on the pumpkin.

“We’ll also have cotton candy and other Fall Festival type treats,” Dawkins said. “The Fall Festival is a special time for our residents and it’s even more special when it’s shared with family and friends. So, we’ll have a lot of fun things planned for all who come.”

TH&R will celebrate the fall season on Halloween night by participating in Trunk or Treat in downtown Brundidge.

“We will also participate in the Pike County Salvation Army’s Bell Ringing campaign during the holiday season,” Dawkins said.
