Dear Editor,

Re: Letter by D. K. Henderson published 8/29/13

What would Jesus do if one who professes to be “washed in the blood” makes a public apology to the citizens of her hometown (including her enemies) and then spends four time as much space exempting certain groups and individuals from the apology?

Would he say to her “go and sin no more”?

What would Jesus do if one of his followers speculates that the Police Department altered their schedules to draw attention to the problems caused the parents, teachers and students by his “washed in the blood” follower’s demonstration?

Would he say to her “go and sin no more”?

What would Jesus do if she exempts from her apology those who had criticized her for having sponsored the demonstration?

Would he say to her “Go and sin no more”?

What would Jesus do if she:

Exempts from her apology those who “lack intelligence and need a life”;

Exempts from her apology certain unnamed individuals who live in Troy and Pike County.

Accuses certain unnamed individuals who had criticized her of having a “racist mentality”.

Accuses certain unnamed individuals of having been “bought by the powers-to-be” (sic).

Accused certain unnamed readers of seeing her as a “monster” because they want wrong to start looking like right.

She claims that “God will bless me a little bit more” if those who live outside of her district criticize her.

She claims a special protection from God in that “I already know that what God has for me is for me. Satan himself can’t take it away nor will or can you. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, although they are already formed and yet shall be formed.”

The full and accurate text of Isaiah 54:17 is:

No weapon formed against you shall prosper,

And every tongue which rises against you in judgment

You shall condemn.

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,

And their righteousness is from Me,”

Says the LORD.

Note her insertion of “me” for “you”.

What would Jesus say?
