Jere Rose, age 68 of New Bern died at the SECU Crystal Coast Hospice House on July 25, 2013; after a short bout with Melanoma cancer. Jere completed his college education at Auburn University in 1968. He was a member of the American Concrete Institute and the American Society of Testing and Materials for over thirty years. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Barbara F. Rose; one daughter, Ashley Sneed; two sons, Jeremy Blayne Rose and EJ Crawford; two sisters, Barbara David and Mary Lynn Rose; one brother, Glen Rose and two grandchildren.
