Troy responded with a pair of runs in the home half of the first.

Caroline Seen lead off the frame with a single and Hayden Rushing drove her in with a single of her own. Two batters later, Carlee Ledford drove in Troy’s second run with an RBI single to center.

Enterprise opened a commanding lead with nine more runs in the second innings.

Troy would get one back on Dakota Berry’s RBI single that scored Ally Rushing.

That would be the last offensive strike Troy could muster however as Enterprise scored nine more runs in the third and retired Troy in the bottom half to end the game.

Rayleigh Carter also gathered a hit for Troy in the game.

Enterprise’s Tyra Florence a hammered two home runs and accounted for five RBIs.

Greenville defeated Taylor-Rehobeth, 15-14, and Crenshaw County knocked off Wicksburg 17-6 earlier in the day to advance with Enterprise into the winner’s bracket. Ariton received the bye and will face Enterprise in the second round.

Troy’s next contest will be an elimination game played today at 10:30 am against Wicksburg at the Troy Sportsplex.
