Virginia Reeves Peacock, age 90, of Troy, passed away at her home on June 24, 2013.  Funeral services for Mrs. Peacock will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Murphy’s Chapel Church on Needmore Road in Troy with Rev. David Stewart and Rev. Lavon Davis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Peacock is survived by her daughter, June Headrick (Bob);  son, Tommy Peacock (Brenda); three grandchildren, Skeeter Sheldon, Wendy Ward (Steven) and Clint Peacock (Penny); six great-grandchildren, Tricia Sheldon, Hudson Sheldon, Emily Ward, Gini Peacock, Gracie Peacock and Emanuel Peacock; and two sisters, Fannie Sanders and Mary Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Peacock, and her parents, Luther and Effie Reeves.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Murphy’s Chapel Church or the Murphy’s Chapel Church Cemetery Fund.
