Patti Linton Sadler of Troy died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her home. Patti was a devoted, loving mother, wife and sister. She was also a devoted teacher of 37 years in the elementary school system. As a teacher, she made significant contributions to the young lives she touched. In addition to the love she had for God and her family she also loved to fish, was an active member of First Baptist Church, a wonderful cook, and was thoroughly loved throughout the community. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Troy with Dr. Luke Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 until 1:00 pm Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Claudia Linton of Goshen. She is survived by her husband Frank T. Sadler Sr. of Troy, her sons Frank T. Sadler Jr. of Troy, Shaun L. (Sandra) Sadler of Chattanooga, TN., grandsons Colton and Cody Sadler of Chattanooga, sisters Dorothy King (The Late Bill King) of Troy, Danabel Brabham (the late Clifton Brabham) of Andalusia, Jean (Mac) Pullen of Troy, Peggy (George) Stough of Lakeland, Fl., her brothers Dan (Becky) Linton Jr., of Montgomery, Terry (Gail) Linton of Cullman, her sisters-in-law Gwen Sadler of Daleville, Hilda Linton of Troy, many nieces, nephews and a great niece, a special Aunt Ruby Teal of Ariton. Active and Honorary Pallbearers will be the Baraca and Lydia Sunday School Classes of First Baptist Church, and the Pike County Gideon’s. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the First Baptist Church or Alacare Hospice of Troy.
