Troy Police arrest two men for two separate burglariesPublished 11:00pm Thursday, June 13, 2013
Troy Police have arrested two men in two days for unrelated burglaries.
On Thursday morning, police received a report of a burglary in progress in the 1100 block of North Three Notch Street. A witness called in the possible burglary and stayed on the phone with a Troy Police Department dispatcher until officers were on the scene.
Police officers secured the scene and found, Clifton James Farrow Eutsey, 25, of Midway, inside the residence. He was taken into custody about five minutes after the call from a concerned citizen came in, according to police.
Eutsey was arrested for third-degree burglary and was transported to the Pike County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
On Wednesday afternoon, police officers were called to the 100 block of West Orange Street where a victim reported coming home to discover two black males in the residence. The men took off on foot after being discovered.
Officers responding to the scene had Johnny Tyrone Mack, 24, of Troy, in custody within about seven minutes of the call coming in to TPD, the department reported.
Mack was charged with third-degree burglary and was taken to the Pike county Jail on a $5,000 bond.
A second suspect is still at large in the Wednesday burglary case and has been described as a black male wearing a black shirt and gray pants. He was last seen in the area of Ingram’s Curb Market, heading toward North Three Notch Street, according to police.
Police are asking for information on any of these crimes, especially the suspect still at large. Witnesses may call 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
Police Chief Jimmy Ennis said it was both the callers and the officers’ quick responses that led to the department apprehending the two men in custody.
“In both incidents, our officers had quick response times with the assistance of 911 callers, which helped the department make two burglary arrests,” Ennis said.
