Mr. Harold Gene Merrill, 76, of Red Level, passed away Sunday June 9, 2013 in a Troy Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday June 11 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Red Level, with Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation with family will be at the cemetery.

He is survived by two sisters, Erva Ree Odom of Red Level and Merlene Yancey of Troy; a sister-in-law, Ruth Merrill of Plant City, Florida, his nieces and nephews, Susan and Ben Pynes of Luverne, Diane Childs of Troy, Wendell and Patricia Wells of Luverne, and Alan and Cindy Merrill of Plant City, FL; 13 great nieces and nephews, 4 great great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Mitchell Merrill; a daughter, Barbara Ann Merrill; parents, J.J. “Buster” and Dots Sasswer Merrill; a brother, J. Douglas Merrill; and nephew, Andy Yancey.
