Three Trojans named first team All-State, Irons named Coach of the Year

First baseman Joey Denison led the contingent of Charles Henderson Trojans on the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State team.

Denison, a senior first baseman, led the Trojans in most offensive categories including home runs and RBIs. Dension was named to the Super All-State team, which encompasses all six of the Alabama High School Athletic Association classifications.

Denison, along with pitcher Houston Mabray and catcher Chase Smartt were named to the 4A first team, and Tripp Blackmon was an honorable mention pitcher.

Charles Henderson head coach Derek Irons was selected as the 4A Coach of the Year, and Denison was picked as the Hitter of the Year.
