The Second Annual Charles Henderson High School Alumni Band Reunion Dinner will be May 11 and those who plan to attend are asked to make their reservations as soon as possible.

The alumni reunion dinner will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the Troy Recreation Center on Enzor Road in Troy.

“The annual CHHS Alumni Reunion Dinner is an excellent time to catch up with old friends and meet new friends,” said Pete Jordan, a member of the hosting Alumni Band. “It’s also a good time to share old photographs and help build the history of the band. At the dinner, we will also discuss our next CHHS Homecoming Alumni Band.”

The featured speaker for the alumni band reunion dinner will be Michael Thomas, former CHHS band director.

Jordan said that, in order to make arrangements for the dinner, it is important to know the number attending.

“The dinner is open to all band alumni, spouses and supporters,” he said.

The cost of the dinner is $15 per person, $25 a couple or $40 for a family of four. Payment and reservations may be mailed to: Pete Jordan, CHHS Alumni Band, 110 Briarwood Dr., Troy, AL 36081.

When making reservations, include name, number attending and check. If payment is to be made at the door, indicate that with the reservation request.

Jordan said photos are needed for the slide show that will be featured at the reunion dinner. If possible, photos or copies may be mailed to the above address.

“If not, just bring them and other historical items of interest to the dinner,” Jordan said.

“Also, yearly membership dues of $10 will be collected at the door.”
