Mr. Hubert Turner Austin, age 74, born October 19, 1938 in Troy, AL died April 12, 2013. Mr. Austin was a long time resident of Mobile County, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivo and Bertha Austin; his wife, Josephine W. Austin; his brother, James Gilbert Austin; and his sisters Jean Botts, and Emma Jewel Bass. He is survived by his two daughters, Lucinda “Cindy” Austin (Robert) Hines of Mobile, AL and Carol Austin (Brian) Bowden of Jacksonville, AL; three grandchildren, Anthony Turner Bowden and Sarah Regina Courtney Bowden of Jacksonville, AL, and Ashley Mae Hines of Mobile, AL; sisters Julia (Richard) Allen of Valley, NE, Carolyn Ryder of Green Valley, AZ, Virginia Olson of Alexandria, MN, and Patricia Neal of Columbiana, AL; Sharon Hinson of Selma, sister in-law Mary Martha Austin of Daleville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama on Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be held from the chapel at Dillard Funeral Home following visitation.Burial Will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any memorials can be made in his memory to Union Hill Cemetery Fund, care of Shirley Barron, 154 Norman Road, Troy, AL 36081.
