Mr. David Chimp Burney, 57, was born to the late Ester Burney and Annie Lois Johnson Burney in Pike County, Alabama. He later joined the Mt. Olive #1 at an early age. He leaves to cherish his memories four sisters Loraine Burney, Patricia Burney, Kathy Burney of Troy, Alabama, and Frances Cannady of Detroit, Michigan; four brothers, Nelson Burney of Troy, Alabama, Leon Johnson (Patricia), Tyrone Burney and Floyd Burney (JoAnn) of Detroit, Michigan; eleven nieces Latasha, Tarneshia, Cheketa, Tomika, Jackie and Demetrice of Troy, Alabama and Ebony, Saquoya, Sabrina, Kimberly and Andrietta of Detroit, Michigan; eight nephews, Carl, James, Tony and Cornelius of Troy, Alabama and Damon, Orlando, Leonard and Shamar of Detroit, Michigan; a special aunt, Ruby Johnson of Saco, Alabama; two aunts, Mable Thomas of Saco, Alabam and Mary Johnson of Detroit, Michigan; two uncles, Wilbert Johnson of Saco, Alabama, John Frank Johnson of Forkport, Texas; 45 great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends. Family and friends will act as pallbearers and floralbearers. Funeral services will be held April 6 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive. #1 Baptist Church in Saco, Alabama.
