Mr. James H. Ward, age 73 of Jack, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013 at2:00 pm in the Springhill Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Reynolds and Reverend Frank Lowery officiating.  Mr. Ward will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife Bernice Smith Ward, daughter Serena Ward Lewis, son and daughter-in-law James H. Ward, Jr. and Karen, brothers and sisters, Larue Ward (Brenda), Mary Jean Massey (Willard), Jimmie Pate, Joanne Champion, Francis Powell and David Powell, grandchildren, Erin Davis (Trevor), Summer Lewis, Kaylie Lewis, Sarah Perdue (Brandon), Brandon Ward (Sarah), Kasey Chase (Jeff), great-grandchildren, Ava, Weston, Bryant, Zoie and Eli.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Springhill Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
