Some well-deserved accolades were passed out this week as the Pike County Chamber of Commerce presented its annual awards to members and the community.

From the top service business to the top industry to the board member whose behind the scenes efforts are invaluable in promoting and developing the Chamber and its members, the awards recognize the epoitome of success in business, industry and service in our community.

The winners this year include Troy Bank & Trust, Business of the Year; Lockheed Martin, Pike County Operations, Industry of the Year; Whaley Pecan Company, Outstanding Agricultural Business; Meeks Pest Control, Best Direct Service; Home Gallery, Outstanding Customer Service; Cotton Creek, Most Promising New Business; First National Bank, Most Committed to the Community; Troy Parks and Recreation, Hospitality Industry Award; and Pike County Exchange Club, Non-Profit of the Year..

Individual awards were presented to Grant Lyons, Young Professional of the Year; Adam Drinkwater, Chamber Board Member of the Year; Betty Wagoner, Most Devoted Volunteer, and Heather Freeman, for contributions Behind the Scenes.

We join the Chamber of Commerce in saluting all these worthy winners and thanking them for their continued efforts to improve the quality of life here in Pike County.
