Mrs. Melba Lena Slaughter Adams of Troy died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:30 pm from the Bush Memorial Baptist Church with Reverends Terry Blair and Dewayne Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

She is survived by her son Alan Adams of Montgomery, grandchildren Christopher (Kayla Bennett) Adams and Jessica Adams, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lamar Adams, and her brothers James, Aldridge and Emmitt Slaughter.

The Betty Thomas Sunday School Class at Bush Memorial will serve as honorary pallbearers
