Mrs. Montez Bowman of Ariton, AL. passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her residence. She was 81. Funeral services for Mrs. Montez Bowman will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with her grandson Shaun Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for Mrs. Montez Bowman will be held from 1 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the chapel one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bowman was born May 25, 1931 in Troy, AL. to the late Rufus Railey and Ella Mae Mitchell Railey. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Larry Merrill Bowman, brothers, Haywon Railey and Gelane Railey, sisters, Ruth Mitchell, Mary Ellen Eggers and Dorothy Rix. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Mitchell (Kathy) Bowman, Pinckard, AL; daughters: Regina Bowman and Sherrie Bowman both of Ariton, AL; grandchildren: Shaun (Gina) Bowman, Pinckard, AL; Matthew Bowman, Pinckard, AL; Joshua Bowman, Ozark, AL; and Bryan Bowman, Ariton, AL; great grandchildren; Drew Johnston and Zhean Lively, Pinckard, AL; sister and brother-in-law: Linda (Mike) Biros, Largo, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law; Tyson (Rosalee) Railey, High Springs, FL; Billy Joe (Thelma) Railey, Fort White, FL; Louie (Darlene) Railey, Clearwater, FL; and Jimmy (Glenda) Railey, High Springs, FL; many nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Bowman, Joshua Bowman, Bryan Bowman, Charles Bowman and Zhean Lively. Flowers are being accepted and memorials may be made to Alacare Hospice of Troy.
