About 640 students at Charles Henderson High School sat down to eat lunch in the school’s new cafetorium for the first time on Tuesday. The project took about 10 months and about $3 million to build. CHHS Principal Dr. Boyd English said he is grateful to the Troy City Schools Board of Education and Superintendent Lee Hicks for making the new building a possibility. The facility features new coolers, a stage area, flat screen TVs for announcements and presentations and new food preparation areas. English said, “The kids are so excited. Everything is state of the art. We are very appreciative.”
