Funeral services for Bob Stubinger, 84, of Troy who died Saturday January 5th, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery will be at 2 pm Friday, January 11th, 2013 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel inTroy with the Reverend Chase Clower officiating. Visitation will take place between 1pm and 2pm the same day prior to the funeral.

Mr. Stubinger was born in Atchison, Kansas on March 20th, 1928, the son of Jacob and Magdalene Bierbaum Stubinger. He was a Class of 1946 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Missouri. He entered the U.S. Army shortly after graduation serving two different tours of duty. Among his assignments, he had served in Germany, South Korea, and was a Vietnam War veteran. It was while on an assignment to Fort Rucker,Alabama that he met Beatrice Railey. They married on April 12th of 1967 and enjoyed going to church, fishing, camping, and the companionship of family and friends through 36 years of wedded bliss. He was a kind and loving man whose great pride in all his children, grandchildren, and family on all sides was beyond measure. Mr. Stubinger was a member of Henderson Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, brother James Charles, sister Ruth Ellen Sims, his wife (Bea), his daughter Jeri Tolbert, step son Herman Lindsey and step grandson Danny Lindsey.

Survivors include sisters Connie (Paul Albin), Carol (Ralph Connor), and Marilyn (Russell Bogard); Step children Jerry Lindsey and Gail Grant. Grandchildren, Christopher Cordle (Deb), Tara Fulmer (Joey), and CallieCordle; Step Grandchildren Mark Taylor (Debbie), David Taylor, Randy Pevehouse, Tasha Rhodes (Mike), Carrmen Jordan (Justin), Cindy Hart (Dave), and Denise Weldon, 18 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great GreatGrandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; his son-in-law Chuck Tolbert of Crestview, Florida; and daughter in law Carolyn Linzey of Troy.
