Police searching for armed robber

Troy Police are searching for a man who robbed a Pepsi delivery driver at gunpoint Friday morning.

According to Troy Police Lt. Brian Weed, the man was black with a dark complexion, about 5’10” and was wearing dark jeans, a white shirt, white bandana and possibly a black hat.

The victim was making a deliver to 3 Notch Apartments about 10:30 a.m. when the man with a small black handgun approached him in the parking lot. The robber then fled on foot behind the apartments toward St. Paul Street, Weed said.

A K-9 unit was called to the scene in an attempt to track the suspect’s route from the crime scene.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call 566-0500. Callers may remain anonymous by using the Secret Witness line at 566-5555.
