Billy G. Henderson was called home Saturday, December 22, 2012, at age 80. A funeral service for Mr. Henderson was held at 11 am, Monday, Dec. 23, with Rev. Jeff May officiating. A committal service followed at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing.

A loving husband and father, Mr. Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church in Troy, AL., where he was a member of the Baracas Sunday School Class.

He was married to his wife, Ruth Henderson, for nearly 55 years. Together they had three children, Susan H. May (Jeff), Gena H. Gough (Randy) and John W. Henderson (Ashlee). He is survived by six grandchildren; Bethany White (Caleb), Henderson May, Josie Gough, Hayden Gough, Ansley and Addison Henderson, as well as one great-grandchild, Garrett White.

Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his parents, John Arbie and Essie Henderson.

Pallbearers for the service were John Henderson, Randy Gough, Hayden Gough, Henderson May, Caleb White, Jake Dubose and Garrett Wesley. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Frank Harrison, Thomas Cameron and Arthur Rodgers.
