No injuries in Friday burglary

Published 6:40am Saturday, June 30, 2012

No one was injured in a burglary on South Brundidge Street early Friday morning, according to police.

Officers were called about 12:40 a.m. to the 800 block of South Brundidge Street in response to subjects entering the home of an international student at Troy University and taking items.

“The victim was able to give a description of the vehicle leaving the scene and an officer who was close by quickly spotted it,” said Troy Police Chief Jimmy Ennis.

The officer stopped the vehicle on Martin Luther King Drive.

“At that time, three suspects ran from the vehicle. The driver was apprehended,” Ennis said. “We did recover some property.”

Akeem Jamars Walker, 19, was charged with burglary second degree and receiving stolen property and police are continuing to investigate the crime.

“We encourage everyone to be alert and aware of their surroundings and call us if they see something suspicious, day or night,” Ennis said.

No further information was available about the incident on Friday due to the investigation.

Walker is being held on a $20,000 bond for the burglary charge and $5,000 for receiving stolen property.

A shame there were no injuries to the thief. Now we’ll have to house and feed their sorry @$$E$ since they clearly don’t have any plans to work to get ahead in life.

…and you would be fine with citizens of another country arming themselves with firearms while here in America? Somehow I think not. (Somehow I don’t think you made it to the second paragraph.)

I have no problem with foreign nationals who are here legally (i.e. on a student visa) having the means to protect themselves from the local trash.

I understand your concerns pz, but I have also personally witnessed the “local trash” victimize an international student at a local convenience store. These poor kids are brought here …many from countries with cultures nowhere near that of the US. They are like sitting ducks for the local piranha. There has to be a happy medium in there somewhere .

I am a peaceful person, but I have had enough.
I have been a theft victim twice this year alone, and the year is only half over.
I don’t know or care what color their skin is.
I only know that I have had enough.
If I catch one stealing from me, I will shoot to kill.
I know that there are clever sayings such as ones above..
    I don’t have a clever saying.
All that I will say is that if I catch one stealing from me again, I will kill them.

Build gallows on the square and hang um. This is the solution.
