Brooks – Taylor

Helen and Robert D. Brooks of Andalusia, together with Lena and Donald Taylor of Montgomery, announce the upcoming wedding of their children Robbyn Elizabeth Brooks and Aaron Frederick Taylor.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Dorothy and Alcus J. Phillips of Andalusia and the late Lena and Richard Brooks of Salado, Texas.

Miss Brooks attended Pleasant Home School in Andalusia and is a 2001 Hall School of Journalism cum laude graduate of Troy University with a Bachelors of Science degree in broadcast journalism. She has worked as a photojournalist at WSFA, a reporter at WNCF, and was an editor and reporter for a group of newspapers in Florida before moving to Washington, D.C., to be an international spokesperson for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Miss Brooks now resides in Troy and is a staff writer for The Messenger.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Vergie and Ben Daniels of Century, Fla., and the late Lois and Alta Taylor of Bryan, Texas.

Mr. Taylor attended high school at LAMP in Montgomery and is a 2000 graduate of the Hall School of Journalism at Troy University with a Bachelors of Science degree in broadcast journalism.  He worked as a producer and photojournalist for WAKA before accepting a position as the television production coordinator at Troy University.

The couple began dating in 2011 after 13 years of friendship and plans to wed on Aug. 4, 2012, at Springdale Estate in Andalusia.
