Margaret Shiver Roberts

Mrs. Margaret Shiver Roberts of the Hamilton Crossroads Community passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 92. Graveside services for Mrs. Margaret Shiver Roberts were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012, at Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery with Minister Elisha Freeman officiating and Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. The family received friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2012, one hour prior to the service at Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ.

Margaret Shivers Roberts was born June 13, 1919 in Pike County, daughter of the late Willie L. Shiver and Lula Johnston Shiver. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Roberts; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Roberts and Sybil Roberts; sister, Nadean Reed; and two brothers, Ezra Shiver and Cliff Shiver.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl R. (Charles) Senn of Brundidge; their children, Charlie (Jennifer) Senn of Troy and Chan (Shannon) Senn of Brundidge; a grandson, Larry Lee Roberts, Jr. of Columbus, GA; daughter, Dinah R. Livingston (J.T. deceased) of Troy; granddaughter, Crystal (Mitchell) Bishop of Deatsville; grandson, Ron (Rebecca) Godwin of Opelika; great grandchildren, Aidan and Avery Bishop of Deatsville; and Emory Senn, Brundidge; a very devoted sister, Louise S. Roberts of Brundidge and two brothers, Jerry and James Shiver, both of Brundidge.

Serving as pallbearers were Charlie Senn, Lee Roberts, Bill Roberts, Chan Senn, Ron Godwin and Sonny Roberts.
